I so appreciate how you're venturing into this fraught territory I think so many of us are trying to balance between thinking about the far horizon and what needs to happen next Tuesday in order to make sure class is okay...

What a fantastic summary for folks dealing with agents on the ground, especially in higher education and high school classrooms. I know Agentic browsers are the real concern, particularly in light of issues of academic honesty. But Agentic AI is so much more than what these browsers do. Sometimes I worry it gets pigeonholed in people's imaginations.

Thanks for the kind words, and I do take your point! There are so many applications and a paradigm shift here and new forms of AI literacy needed. I can see why the focus on academic integrity might seem shortsighted. I am just feeling the urgency and thinking of the students right now whose course credits and degrees are being unnecessarily devalued. And the academic integrity and agents question is just another version of the question of how we will distinguish bot from human online when its in societal interests to do so. As AI evolves this gets more pressing. I appreciate Yuval Noah Harari and Frank Pasquale's writings emphasizing the need for bots to identify themselves.
